Performance workshops in Birmingham, Nottingham and Bologna

In the UK, Participants did performance workshops with Implicated Theatre, a London-based theatre company who is inspired by the work of the Brazilian director Augusto Boal (1931-2009) who challenged the divisions between the actor and the spectator and explored theatre as a form of popular education.In June 2017, members of Birmingham Asylum and Refugee Association  and Global Sistaz United took part in workshops with Implicated Theatre based on the research findings of the project, as well as performance workshops developed by Implicated Theatre.

Implicated Theatre – Ethnodrama script

In Italy, participants did theatrical performances with Cantieri Meticci a Bologna-based theatre company with the aim to promote, support and create art among refugees, migrants, active citizens, students, and new residents of Bologna.
